Wonderful spot in the heart of Aspen
Our family loves this little hotel. It is comfortable and serves a wonderful breakfast each morning. We stayed during the summer and the pool was open in the evenings so kids could swim and parent could enjoy a glass of wine poolside. It is reasonably priced and well run. Stronly recommend this quaint hotel.

Great stay, Great Staff!
In my years of traveling, I typically like upscale corporate hotels. The Mountain Chalet may have changed this for me. We stayed 4 nights and had an excellent time! Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, great hot breakfast, free parking, Balcony in standard room, clean pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room! This is an excellent choice for a great location to downtown Aspen! Lori at the front desk was so helpful you would never get this service at a chain hotel. We stayed here for a business trip and when we come back this is where we plan on staying all the time! I just wish we could have stayed longer. Typically when I travel, the bed is my most concern because I have a Tempur-Pedic. The bed was comfy and I was able to sleep through the entire night with no issues. Try it next time you are in Aspen I am sure you will agree.

Excellent Hotel with superb staff
Just returned from The Mountain Chalet Aspen – a group of 14 of us from the UK. Cannot fault the hotel or staff from first booking throughout the whole stay.
Outstanding breakfast included – overall the hotel is unbelievable value for money and out-shines the St Regis opposite or any of the glitzy corporate hotels. A real “home from home” with people who truly comprehend the ethos of skiing and of the mountains.
You cannot pick a better location in Aspen, a short walk to the gondola and across the road to the bus to the other hills – easy and so well run.
To anyone one from Europe planing to visit Aspen this is the place to stay,as it is far superior to the soulless corporate brands – excellent!

WARM, FRIENDLY & COZY, PLUS GOOD FOOD
My friends and I were recently skiing in Aspen, Colorado, and we stayed at the Mountain Chalet. We have all been there before, but again we were pleased with the location, and the warmth of the owners and staff. The breakfast that they serve everyday is a spread fit for a king. Wonderfully prepared and served, plus they accommodate special requests. In the afternoon when you return from any of Aspen’s four great mountains, there is a variety of cookies in the main lounge and reception area. Plus of course hot chocolate, coffee, cappuccino. The rooms are nice, and the bathrooms have been upgraded. But more than anything, the location of the Mountain Chalet cannot be beat. It’s across from the local bus station, which can take you to either Buttermilk Mountain, Aspen Highlands, or Snowmass. Aspen Mountain., also known as Ajax, is a very short couple of blocks. We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.
